Bikes or Bust tops their goal of 1,000 bikes

There will be so many children who will get a brand new bike this Christmas

It has been an amazing 2 months with Bikes or Bust. Jason Carducci came to me at the beginning of October and said he wanted to get started now and that his goal was to try and raise $10,000 to buy a ton of bikes for kids.

What started out as a single video and a YouCaring page, ended up with 17 “challenge” videos, multiple segments on EVERYTHING! and a few articles all to help our friends at Highway 98 Country beat their goal of 1,000 bikes.

Well, Bikes or Bust ended today at noon and it was a huge success! DJ Bo Reynolds came down from the scissor lift and we are excited to announce that they not only hit their goal of 1,000 bikes, but exceeded it with over 1,500 bikes!

We don’t have an exact number yet, but we will definitely keep you updated.

We want to say thank you to Highway 98 Country for hosting this awesome annual event and also all of the businesses and members of the community that stepped up this year with their challenges and donations. You can view every single video here.

Oh, and we heard that in honor of his 25th year in radio, Scratch from Highway 98 Country will be in the lift next year! Can’t wait!

Check out the video below of Bo announcing the bike totals!
