The City of Fort Walton Beach has canceled its City Council Meetings scheduled for March 24, March 31 and April 14, as well as all volunteer board/committee meetings scheduled through April 14.

This is to adhere to orders from the governor and direction from the Florida Department of Health related to the spread of COVID-19.

According to a press release sent Wednesday afternoon, the City will reassess the status of COVID-19 in April to determine when meetings will resume.

The City advises residents and visitors to follow all COVID-19 health-related guidelines and refer to the following resources:

Additionally, DOH-Okaloosa has set up a local call center for COVID-19 inquiries from the public. The number is 850-344-0566, Monday- Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The state’s call center is 1-866-779-6121, 24 hours a day, seven days a week; or email COVID-19@flhealth.gov.
