On Tuesday September 26th the body of Connor Bartlett was found by a family friend near Destin’s west jetty about 6:30 p.m after a massive search by law enforcement agencies.

Tragically, the 14 year old freshman’s death was the result of an apparent suicide.

On Thursday night, in the wake of Connor’s death, the Destin Middle School Football decided to leave notes on the lockers for the students to find when they arrived at school Friday morning.

The football team is absolutely right, “you can talk to someone”, “your life matters”, and “people support you”!

We are incredibly proud of the actions of these students! Good job Destin Middle School!
