Silver Airways announced today the debut of non-stop service from the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) starting May 17!

In a press release on Monday, Silver Airways plans to announce its daily flight schedule and proposed fares on February 19, 2019, when the airline anticipates receiving final Okaloosa County Commission Board approval for Silver’s new service. In addition, Silver will introduce new discounted fares for active-duty military on all flights.

“We are so excited to serve the many men and women serving our country who work and live in the Destin-Fort Walton Beach area,” said Silver Airways Senior Vice President Kurt Brulisauer. “We’re also very much looking forward to providing an additional high-demand route for business, leisure and military travelers between Northwest and Central Florida, which isn’t available with any other airline.”

Silver Airways is a U.S. airline operating around 100 daily scheduled flights between gateways in Florida and The Bahamas. The company is owned by Versa Capital Management, LLC, a Philadelphia-based private equity investment firm. Silver Airways is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) with a maintenance facility based at Orlando International Airport in Florida.
