Author Brigid Kennedy Brings a True Family Mystery to Bodacious Bookstore & Café on July 4
PENSACOLA, Fla. — Author Brigid Kennedy will sign her debut novel, LOST: The Lost City of Incan Gold, at Bodacious Bookstore & Café on Friday, July 4, from 11 AM to 2 PM. The shop is located at 110 E Intendencia Street in downtown Pensacola, and the event is free and open to the public.
The novel is the first in Kennedy’s historical fantasy series, Of Irish Myths & Incan Legends, and it began with a true family mystery. Kennedy’s great-grandfather, an Irish treasure hunter, married her great-grandmother at a monastery in Arequipa, Peru, in 1910, then disappeared into the Amazon and never returned. A century later, Kennedy says, her grandmother came to her in a dream and asked her to write the family’s story.
A violin teacher by profession, Kennedy traded her bow for a pen and wrote a series that braids the Celtic legends of Ireland with the lost gods of the Inca, rooted in her own heritage. LOST launched in March 2026 with a full-cast audiobook featuring 21 character voices and has earned more than 77 five-star reviews.
Kennedy, who summers on Florida’s Emerald Coast, will spend Independence Day at Bodacious meeting readers, sharing the story behind the book, and signing copies.
“Meet the Author: Brigid Kennedy” takes place Friday, July 4, 11 AM to 2 PM, at Bodacious Bookstore & Café, 110 E Intendencia Street, Pensacola, FL. The event is free and open to the public.
