The HSU Educational Foundation is pleased to share an exciting opportunity for our community to celebrate our nation’s 250 year history. Please help us share this news across our region!
*******JOIN US FOR EVENT: From October 16–18, 10 AM to 5 PM, the Freedom250 Mobile Museum will be visiting our HSU Foundation Headquarters FieldWerx Tech campus at 70 Ready Avenue in the Fort Walton Beach Commerce and Technology Park offering a unique and engaging learning experience that explores the history, principles, and people that helped shape the United States. As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, this traveling exhibit provides an opportunity to connect with the story of America’s founding through interactive displays, historical artifacts, and educational content designed to inspire curiosity and civic understanding.
********THIS IS A NO CHARGE EVENT: Admission is completely free of charge.
The museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 16-18th, providing flexibility for visitors throughout its stay. To best accommodate youth participation, we would especially like to encourage Friday, October 16th for school group visits and encourage schools to take advantage of this unique experience for a field trip or educational outing. We understand the exhibits are geared for adults and young adults or teens, potentially down to middle school but not aimed for young children. The sides of the Semi-Truck expand and we understand 30 people can comfortably view the exhibit at the same time and it takes about 45 minutes to see it all.
We hope you will consider sharing this opportunity with your organizations, neighbors, churches, and families. If your school is interested in attending as a group, please contact us so we can assist with scheduling and help ensure a positive experience for all participants.
Thank you for your continued commitment to providing meaningful patriotic America250 and Freedom 250 experiences for our community. The HSU Educational Foundation was honored that our partners are offering us this special visit as part of a National Tour to include our community in the Freedom250 Mobile Museum experience as the newest chapter of our campaign efforts to celebrate America’s history since our founding and the importance of preparation for America’s strong and innovative future!
