This is the Celebration of Life for US Navy Senior Chief EOD/ Diver Clay Simmons Hedricks, Sr. The first portion the ceremony will take place in Niceville at the EOD Wall, and then proceed to Two Georges Marina, where the family will board the boats to go out, to Destin, passing Crab Island and Destin Harbor. They will proceed out to sea, to the reef, where Clay’s son James will take Clay’s urn down, along side Navy EOD Divers, to inter him in his reef, for his final resting place.
We invite the community to honor this Fallen Warrior! Please line the streets and harbor, fly your flags high, honk your horns, and even follow us out to sea in procession, as long as boats keep their distance while divers are in the water.
People wanting to attend the ceremony at the EOD Wall must hold proper DoD ID.
