Florida Blue Foundation now accepting Mental Well-Being Grant applications for 2026

The foundation is offering approximately $3.2 million in four-year grants to nonprofit organizations focused on improving mental health across Florida.

The Florida Blue Foundation, the philanthropic affiliate of Florida’s Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, is accepting applications for its 2026 mental well-being grant program.

  • The foundation supports nonprofit organizations that improve health by addressing food security, advancing mental well-being, growing healthy communities and addressing health disparities.

For this grant cycle, the foundation is seeking applications from organizations with documented expertise in mental well-being.

The grant program is focused on two areas:

  • Enhancing access to mental health services.
  • Strengthening Florida’s mental health workforce.

On the access side, the foundation is looking to fund programs that help bridge the gap in care and treatment for issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, isolation and loneliness.

On the workforce side, the foundation is seeking programs that support training, skills development and the expansion of mental health professional programs to address the state’s provider shortage.

The foundation is offering approximately $3.2 million for the grant program in the form of four-year grants. Total funding requests for the grant period should fall between $300,000 and $400,000, with an approximate annual allocation of $75,000 to $100,000.

Applications are due Thursday, May 21, by 3 p.m. Eastern and all applicants will be notified of their status in September.

Applications and additional information are available at FloridaBlue.com/Foundation.
