The Emerald Coast Association of Realtors Leadership Development Program is throwing a “giving back” concert to support Food For Vets, a local pantry for Veterans and Active Military.

Food For Veterans Inc. is a 501(c)3 Florida Non-Profit organization whose mission is to provide food and essentials to Veterans and Military members in need of assistance.

Some may think that this area doesn’t need a pantry for Veterans. But when you really open your eyes and look around you, the need is there.

Kate Mayor, Founder, Food For Vets

Kate is a Disabled Air Force Veteran. Her daughter is a Veteran of the Air Force Academy and her son-in-law is Active Duty Air Force. Living in the Panhandle, Kate saw a need to help struggling Veterans and low income military families.

“Driving down Highway 98, we tend to have tunnel vision at times and we choose not to see what is happening on the other side of the tree line,” Mayor said.

The concert is going down at The Landing in Downtown Fort Walton Beach on Friday, August 30, 2019 beginning at 6pm. Redstone, a 5-piece rock band from Northwest Florida, will be performing.

Admission to the concert is $5 or 5 canned goods. Kids are free.

Food trucks will also be onsite.
