The Fort Walton Beach Police Department and the Fort Walton Beach City Council recognized the department’s 2018 Employee of the Year and 2018 Officer of the Year at the March 12, 2019, City Council meeting.

Who was awarded: Linda Oblak received the Employee of the Year Award and Officer Terence “Tiger” James received the Officer of the Year Award.

“These two individuals show their commitment to this community and police department day in and day out by always going the extra mile, leading by example and having great attitudes about the work they perform on behalf of the citizens and visitors of Fort Walton Beach.”

Linda Oblak is a crime analyst and has been with the department for 30 years. As a crime analyst, she plays a leading role in keeping the city and its officers safe through criminal intelligence sharing and dissecting crime patterns.

Officer Terence “Tiger” James has been with the Fort Walton Beach Police Department for two years and has become a leading ambassador for the department.
