A Fort Walton Beach teenager faces a second degree felony in connection with making threats of a mass shooting at a local school.

  • The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 15-year old Caleb McLaughlin of Miracle Strip Parkway with sending written or electronic threats.

Investigators say he created an Instagram profile and used it to send threats to students at Baker School May 10th and May 11th, including referencing a Glock handgun and sending a photo of a weapon.

OCSO Investigators verified the Instagram Account and the phone number it is attached to belong to McLaughlin. The investigation is ongoing.
