I caught up with City Manager Michael Beedie on Yacht Club Drive Tuesday morning and gave me a little more insight as to what is taking place and how it will help improve the area for our community.

“Yacht Club is a road that has been in dire need of repaving for a long time”, said Beedie. “The newly approved half-cent sales tax allows the city to make that happen. A lot of times our citizens don’t get to see where their dollars really go, but because of the half-cent sales tax, things like paving and water and sewer projects and those visible types of construction projects, it’s a huge benefit to the citizens.”
