On Wednesday, March 18th, news began circulating on social media that Hog’s Breath Saloon in Destin, Fl was closing their doors.

While the restaurant is closed for the foreseeable future, it is not clear if the iconic restaurant is gone for good.

In a Facebook post the restaurant wrote,

“We want to stop the rumor mill before it runs crazy – Hog’s Breath Saloon, Destin is closed for the foreseeable future. With uncertainty looming on the horizon for all of the businesses in our community, we deemed this the best decision. We hope to be back serving your favorite drinks and food soon!”

On Tuesday, bars and nightclubs across Florida were suspended for 30 days. Restaurants cannot be over 50% capacity have been encouraged to promote take-out orders.

Here’s to hoping Hog’s Breath opens back soon! 🍻
