Two Crestview Police officers have been fired after an internal investigation revealed a “secret meeting” held near Speck Lake on the Eglin Reservation in Walton County. Officer Christine Dawson and Investigator Shawn Temple were fired with each violating nine department policies, including being a distraction to others and contributing to a hostile work environment, according to WEAR TV.
K9 officer Jay Seals was placed on a year’s probation, stripped of his K-9 and SWAT team membership and fined four days pay, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News.
The investigation determined that the focus of this “secret meeting” was “to conspire to have members of the command staff terminated for undetermined reasons.”
