Dolphin Inn demolished, Oktoberfest at Big Kahunas, Couple says marijuana washed ashore

Finally, the Dolphin Inn on Highway 98 in Fort Walton Beach has been demolished. (There, I said it!). On Tuesday the demolition started to make room for a brand new motel with a different name, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News. Demolition on the “Hilton 2” should be complete by the end of the month according to Sam Patel, who has owned the motel since 1999. Oktoberfest at Big Kahunas before park closes for season

On Sunday there were a ton of people at Big Kahunas for the waterpark’s first Oktoberfest that happens during the last 2 weekends of September. According to The Destin Log, park guests were able to enjoy a buffet that included bratwurst, polish sausage, cabbage rolls and two craft beers. Next weekend is your last chance to get in on Oktoberfest and enjoy the waterpark before it closes for the season. A bundle of marijuana washes ashore in Pensacola Beach

After last week’s 20+ kilos of cocaine that washed ashore on Jupiter Island, Florida, this small brick of marijuana that made its way to Pensacola Beach isn’t that impressive. According to WEAR TV, a couple claims that they found the tightly-wrapped package sitting in the sand and took it to one of the lifeguards on duty who opened it. After turning it over to authorities, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office couldn’t confirm any details about the package. To read more, click here.
