Yesterday, a crane truck turning onto Lewis Street from Beal Parkway (by Chick-fil-a) overturned on top of a car after not slowing down enough. Two 17-year-old girls were in the car at the time but thankfully were only treated for minor injuries and were released after a quick visit to the ER.
20-year-old Jordon Smith was the driver of the Peterbilt truck and according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, Smith was not licensed to operate a commercial motor vehicle. WEAR TV also reports that Smith had no proof of insurance.
Allegiant celebrates 40 million passengers to Florida with Free Flights
According to The Destin Log, to commemorate its 40 millionth passenger to Florida since 2005, Allegiant Air awarded free flights to passengers waiting to board Flight 1902 to MidAmerica St. Louis Airport. To read more on the Allegiant story, click here.
