Niceville Police investigating shooting that left 2 dead, 1 hospitalized

The Niceville Police Department responded to a disturbance call at 1118 John Sims Pkwy on Friday, February 11th around 7:30pm.

  • Officers found one male with multiple gunshot wounds, he died on scene.
  • Another call came in around the same time reporting two additional gunshot victims at Lake Court and Palm Blvd, which is just a few minutes away.

One was dead on arrival with another suffering a non-fatal wound, according to the Niceville PD. The subject was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.

  • FDLE, OCSO, Niceville PD, and Valparaiso PD are assisting with the investigation.

The crime is confirmed to have happened in the initial parking lot along 1118 John Sims Pkwy, and the secondary location was where the others were dropped off.

“No threat is active to any citizen at this current time,” wrote the Niceville PD in a press release. Leads have been found and evidence is collected that has identified the suspect.

This is an ongoing investigation and no names are being released with regards to privacy and notification of kin.
