Okaloosa County extends early voting hours ahead of winter storm

Voters in Okaloosa County will have additional time to cast early ballots as election officials prepare for potential weather-related disruptions to voting sites.

The Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections Office announced extended early voting hours at all polling locations from January 19-20 and January 23-24 due to an approaching winter storm.

  • Supervisor of Elections Paul Lux said voting sites will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the extended days, compared to regular hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Regular voting hours will remain in place January 21-22, though officials noted these times could change pending weather-related closures. The final day of early voting on January 25 maintains standard hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Saturday, January 18 – 10AM-6PM
  • Sunday, January 19 – Monday, January 20 – 7AM-7PM
  • Tuesday, January 21- Wednesday, January 22* – 10AM 6PM* Pending any necessary closures
  • Thursday, January 23 – Friday, January 24 – 7AM-7PM
  • Saturday, January 25 – 10AM- 6PM
