The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking two individuals wanted on charges of felony aggravated battery, in connection with a large fight at Crab Island in Choctawhatchee Bay July 29th, to turn themselves in to the OCSO.

  • Deputies say there are active felony warrants for 34-year old O’dell Brown of Lawrenceville Georgia and 30-year old Tyravian Miller of Gulfport Mississippi.

Miller is accused of hitting a man in the head with a liquor bottle, and Brown is wanted for stabbing the same victim, plus another, both of whom were taken to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Hospital for their injuries.

  • Deputies say they have additional warrants for others involved in the brawl and will be out on the water ready to serve those warrants this weekend.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information on the whereabouts of Brown and Miller to contact the OCSO at 850-651-7400 or contact Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850.863. TIPS,
emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com, or through the P3 Tips Mobile application.

“The OCSO would like to thank all the people who posted and shared video of the fight, which assisted deputies in identifying the assailants,” wrote the OCSO in a statement.

Coming up, another “takeover-style” event expected to draw large crowds to Crab Island is being promoted on social media for this coming weekend.

“We are aware of the expected crowds and will have enhanced patrols,” Sheriff Eric Aden said. “Some of our neighboring agencies will be providing support alongside our Marine Unit as a force multiplier to ensure safety for everyone visiting Crab Island. This type of behavior will not be tolerated.”
