The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 2,600 calls for service between noon Friday, May 22nd and midnight May 25th.

Nine people were rescued from the Destin East Pass around 3pm of Friday afternoon after marine units were called out to reports of a boat flipped over in the water. Initial reports indicate there were some minor injuries, but all passengers were recovered safely.
