Okaloosa Gas reports phone, internet issues while ensuring continued support

Okaloosa Gas has implemented alternative customer service options to ensure uninterrupted support while addressing phone and internet system issues.

Okaloosa Gas is experiencing a communication system outage affecting both phone and internet service for the public. The company is actively working to determine the cause of the issue and has implemented measures to ensure customers can still access support services.

  • During the outage, all incoming calls are being handled by the company’s after-hours answering support team, which is contracted by Okaloosa Gas. Customers can reach this service by calling 850-729-4700.

“We are currently experiencing phone issues at Okaloosa Gas. During this time, all incoming calls will be answered by our answering service. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we resolve this issue,” said Eddie Springle, Vice President of Marketing for Okaloosa Gas.

The support team will help answer questions and collect customer information for the local team to respond to. The company is also taking steps to minimize inconvenience by ensuring they will not cut off any service during the outage, despite being temporarily unable to accept payments.

For customers requesting new service connections, the after-hours team will gather customer information and relay it to the local team. The company noted there might be some phone tag involved, with support staff notifying the local team and then calling customers back, until full service is restored.

“We are working diligently to resolve the technical issues and restore full communication capabilities as quickly as possible,” added Springle.
