Okaloosa schools closed on Tuesday due to Hurricane Sally

As of 12pm on Monday, Okaloosa County schools have been cancelled for Tuesday, September 15th.

On Monday, Sally was upgraded to a category 1 hurricane.

“Due to the continued threat for tropical storm force winds and substantial rain from Sally, all schools and school activities will remain closed Tuesday, September 15th,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers. “Closures apply to 12-month employees as well.”

Decisions regarding school and school activities for Wednesday, September 16th will be made on Tuesday.
