Okaloosa woman wins $2.3 million from a scratch-off ticket sold in Shalimar

On Friday, September 2, 2022, the Florida Lottery announced that Gloria Johnson, of Shalimar, claimed a top prize from the $2,500 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Pensacola District Office.

  • She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,330,000.00. 

According to the Florida Lottery, Johnson purchased her winning ticket from Raceway, located at 1183 North Eglin Parkway in Shalimar. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.95.
