The organizers of the 42nd Annual Destin Seafood Festival, scheduled for October 2-4, 2020, have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event

According to a statement release from the organization, this choice was made with an abundance of caution and with respect to the City of Destin, the community, property hosts, volunteers, patrons, vendors, and sponsors.

“Given the uncertainty of this unprecedented global situation and the economic hardships facing our partners, our team feels that this is the most responsible choice based on the information we have today, ” the Festival said in a press release.

The Destin Seafood Festival is the kickoff event for the annual Destin Fishing Rodeo, which spans the entire month of October. Despite the cancellation of the Destin Seafood Festival, the Destin Fishing Rodeo will proceed as scheduled. Details can be found on their website destinfishingrodeo.org.
