Trey Gowdy has had many unique experiences as a federal and state prosecutor for 16 years. In those years, he dealt with:
- Armed robbery
- Kidnapping
- Homicide by child abuse
- The killing of a federal witness
- And many more crimes.
He will be speaking at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on February 4th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
In 2011, Gowdy left the courtroom for congress where he served for 8 years participating in the some of our country’s most significant and high profile investigations.
- He served on the Committees on Judiciary, Oversight and Government Reform, Intelligence, Ethics, and Education and the Workforce.
In 2018, he co-authored a book titled “Unified” with his best friend in all of politics, Senator Tim Scott. Their book was a New York Times bestseller.
Also in 2018 he announced he would not seek re-election to congress. He would instead be returning to his home in South Carolina to practice law and spend time with his wife, Terri, who is a first-grade school teacher.
This is a free event hosted by Mattie Kelly Arts Center at the Northwest Florida State College Campus. Seating is limited but admission is free.
