A head-on collision on State Road 285 at Range Road 207 killed two motorists late Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An SUV driven by a 43-year-old Destin man crossed the center line and collided with a motorcycle ridden by a 24-year-old Defuniak Springs woman around 10:30 p.m.

  • The SUV overturned, ejecting the driver, according to the FHP report.
  • Both drivers died at the scene.

The victims’ names were not immediately released pending notification of relatives.

No further details were released.
