It’s hard to believe we’re already a week away from St. Patrick’s Day! The year is already going by so fast. There will certainly be no shortage on good food, live music, and beer to celebrate this Irish holiday, but the festivities are already kicking off this weekend with the Annual McGuire’s Prediction Race! Here are a few events to check out for St. Patrick’s Day.

30A St. Patrick’s Day Parade

On March 16, the 30A St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin near The Preserve and head west for four miles ending at Gulf Place. The parade starts at 3PM and after the parade, there will be a festival at Arnett’s Gulfside Farm and Stables!

Something extra special about this year’s parade is that Oliver Petit, owner of the Red Bar will be the Grand Marshal. You can view the parade map at 30aparade.com.

St. Patrick’s Day at The Bay

The Bay is hosting its fifth annual St. Patrick’s Day party on Sunday, March 17. The party will kick off with Sunday Brunch featuring Irish specialties from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, followed by a Cornhole Tournament at 2:30, and live music at 3:00. It is encouraged to wear festive attire! There will be food and drink specials starting at 11 AM.

St. Patrick’s Day Oysterfest

Red Fish Blue Fish in Pensacola Beach will be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Oysterfest on Saturday March 16. For $50, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat grilled and shucked oysters, seafood boil, and grilled corn for. If you bring your own cup, you can enjoy $5 draft beers all day long (there’s a 20 oz max😉).

McGuire’s 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Run

Kick off St. Patrick’s Day early by participating in the McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day Run on March 9 (that’s tomorrow!). It’s a 5k and is one of the most fun races you will run! It begins and ends at McGuire’s in Pensacola.

The registration fee includes your Race T-Shirt and Race Number, as well as a Pre-Race Breakfast including donuts, bagels, fruit, juice and coffee. Post race party refreshments include Irish Fare, Irish Wakes, Bud Light, McGuire’s Red Ale & Soft Drinks. What a fun way to kick off the celebrations!

Lucky Leprechaun 5k/10k Run/Walk

If running is your thing, you’ll be happy to hear that Run With It is hosting a Lucky Leprechaun race on Saturday March 16! This race will be in Downtown Fort Walton Beach and the after party will be at KC’s Sandbar. Proceeds go to the Northwest Florida Track Club who has a fund to build a rubberized track in Okaloosa County. What a great cause!

McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day Extravaganza

What better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than at McGuire’s? On March 17, they’ll have live music, green beer, Irish fare (as always!), and Moose McGuire might even be around.

St. Patrick’s Day at the Gulf

On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, if you wear green to The Gulf, they’ll have $6 Jameson Shots, $6 Lucky Leprechaun Cocktails, and $8 Green Tea Drinks. Live music will also start at 2PM!

St. Paddy’s Family Party at Harborwalk Village

The St. Paddy’s Day Family Party will take place on March 17 at Harborwalk Village from 12pm-2pm. You can expect a live Irish Dance performance, kid’s crafts, and a Leprechaun Treasure Hunt! Individual merchants will be featuring St. Patrick’s Day specials. On-site parking for this event is $10.

Drunken Leprechauns at Idyll Hounds Brewing Company

Idyll Hounds Brewing company will be opening their doors from 12-5 PM on St. Patrick’s Day. They’ll be pouring small batch Irish Stout, Green kettle Sour and a full tap board of other surprises on tap. Summer Kitchen Cafe will be cooking up some Irish classics and you can expect to hear DropKick Murphy’s on the loud speakers all day long.


Hopefully you’ve gotten an idea of how you want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day now! There are so many fun things to choose from and on top of that, there are several pub crawls happening in Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola!
