Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport is proud to announce the newest of their 44 routes available directly to the beach! Allegiant Airlines will begin service from Central Illinois Regional Airport at Bloomington-Normal (BMI) on the 4th of June.

The flight will take place twice weekly and is the fifth flight offered from VPS to a city in Illinois.

“This flight is wonderful for the Airman at Hurlburt field or Eglin Air Force Base, far from home, who wants to see his or her parents in central Illinois for a low cost,” said Vice-Chairman Carolyn Ketchel. “This is great news for tourism too, it means we have growth in an industry which is vital to our local economy. I’m excited to see what the future holds for our relationship with Allegiant Airlines.”

In order to celebrate their new flight – Allegiant will offer one-way routes for $49 for a limited time.
