Avantgarde Salon has finished a major expansion of its flagship Destin location, adding an entirely new second floor to meet growing client demand, and is now looking to bring on new stylists to fill the space.

The upstairs addition includes five new stylist stations in a bright area with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, second-floor views and natural light. Five additional shampoo chairs bring the salon’s total to nine, and a dedicated second color bar and second beverage station mirror the existing setup downstairs.

• The new floor also features multiple waiting areas where clients can relax during color services or work in comfort.

“This expansion is our heartfelt thank you to our loyal guests and an exciting step into the future,” said Joseph Rogers, the salon’s owner and stylist. “It gives us even more beautiful space to deliver the personalized Avantgarde Aveda experience our clients love, from our bright, stylish new upstairs retreat to the passionate stylists we’re now welcoming to the team. We’re looking for talented artists who want to focus on their craft in a culture that truly values their life outside the salon.”

With the new space in place, the salon is seeking stylists who want to focus on their artistry while Avantgarde handles the rest. The salon said its culture centers on collaboration, flexibility and work-life balance, with scheduling designed to give stylists more time outside of work.

Aveda training is a plus but not required; the salon said it is looking for a genuine dedication to the guest experience and a desire to grow within the team.

Founded in 1996 by Rogers, Avantgarde is a full-service Aveda concept salon with locations in Destin and Niceville. The salon specializes in color, cut and styling techniques and offers services including highlights, smoothing treatments, extensions, lash and brow services, waxing and more.
