Beach Liquors has opened its sixth store along Northwest Florida, joining the dining, entertainment and retail businesses at The Market Shops at Sandestin.
- The 4,800-square-foot store sits on the far west side of the shopping center at 9375 Emerald Coast Parkway. It is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with delivery service from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The store features retail sales alongside a self-serve wine and whiskey bar with more than 35 fine wines and premium whiskies available by the individual pour. Customers can shop with the guidance of an in-house wine steward, explore a large walk-in craft beer “cave” and find cigars supplied by Harbor Cigars of Destin, as well as THC-infused beverages and gummies.
Beach Liquors will host wine tastings on Friday nights from 5 to 7 p.m., along with special tastings and educational events throughout the year. Online ordering and delivery are available through the company’s website, mobile app or Uber Eats.
- “We are excited to be part of The Market Shops family of businesses and look forward to serving all the residents of Sandestin and other nearby communities,” said co-owners Mike and Chuck Kelley.
Beach Liquors is a family-owned chain of liquor, wine and craft beer stores. Siblings Chuck, Mike and Pat Kelley founded the business in 2000, opening their first store in Panama City Beach, and have since expanded to Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Destin and Pensacola.
The family’s business roots run deeper. Father Charles Kelley and uncle Roy previously owned and operated Kelley’s IGA supermarkets in the region, an upbringing the siblings credit with the work ethic behind their own venture.
Mike Kelley has summed up the family philosophy simply: hard work produces results, and nothing comes easy.
The company emphasizes a “hometown advantage” of local ownership that resonates with permanent residents, military personnel stationed nearby and the many visitors who travel to the Gulf Coast.
