Eglin Air Force Base schedules munitions testing in Gulf of America

The Air Force will conduct munitions testing in the Gulf of America on June 24 and June 26 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Air Force will conduct munitions testing in the Gulf of America on June 24 and June 26 from 8 a.m. to noon, according to a news release from Eglin Air Force Base.

  • All vessels are required to remain clear of the active hazard area during the tests, which will take place approximately 15 nautical miles south of Fort Walton Beach and approximately 70 nautical miles south of Apalachicola.

The Eglin Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center will broadcast advisories and local notice to mariners on Channel 16 and HF upper sideband 2182 kilohertz.
