Eglin Federal Credit Union and the city of Fort Walton Beach have announced a three-year Gold Sponsorship Agreement that includes naming rights for The Landing, the city’s outdoor venue for community events, concerts and celebrations.
- Under the agreement, the venue will be known as “The Landing brought to you by Eglin Federal Credit Union.”
The commitment helps fund the free Concerts at The Landing music series, which consists of a fall series of eight concerts in September and October, a spring series of five concerts in May and a Fourth of July concert.
“At Eglin Federal Credit Union, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful connections and shared experiences,” said Neko Stubblefield, the credit union’s senior vice president of membership and community development. “This partnership reflects our commitment to enriching the lives of those we serve by supporting cultural arts, community engagement, and opportunities that bring families, friends, and neighbors together.”
City Manager Jason Davis said The Landing is where the community comes together.
“The Landing serves as a gathering place where our community comes together to celebrate, connect, and enjoy the arts,” Davis said. “We are grateful for Eglin Federal Credit Union’s investment and partnership. Their support helps us continue providing exceptional programming and events that enrich our city and create memorable experiences for residents and visitors.”
The agreement is part of the city’s new Corporate Sponsorship program, which offers several sponsorship levels. According to the city, the program will help offset the cost of programs such as Concerts at The Landing, fireworks shows, parades and other city-organized events.
As the gold sponsor, Eglin Federal Credit Union will receive dedicated signage at The Landing and recognition during events.
Other levels of the program support the fireworks displays during the Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival and the city’s Fourth of July celebration, as well as city events such as the annual Christmas and Billy Bowlegs Torchlight parades.
