Memorial Day ceremony at 11am at the Destin Memorial Cemetery 111 Stahlman Ave. Guest speaker is Mike J. Risola who was a Russian orphan adopted at 3 by American family. He served in the Marines and currently works for Department of Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson. His message is compelling. After the wreath placement everyone is invited to come to the American Legion Post 296 at 311 Main Street for food & fun. The Post is providing hamburgers, hot dogs, & chicken with the condiments. Potluck sides & desserts are welcome but not required. At 3, Mayor Bobby Wagner will play TAPS at the flagpole by the tank. Additionally, the OneBlood bus will be there for donations. Walk-ins are welcome. At 6, everyone over 18 is welcome to join us for bingo.
