Fort Walton Beach High School to host third annual Viking Voyage Career Fair, seeking vendors

Fort Walton Beach High School will connect more than 1,500 students with local employers and alumni during a three-hour career exploration event in April.

The doors of Fort Walton Beach High School gymnasium will open to the local business community this spring as the school prepares to host its Third Annual Viking Voyage Career Fair on Friday, April 10, bringing together students, employers and community partners for a day of career exploration.

  • The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, is designed to connect classroom learning with real-world career pathways. More than 1,500 students in grades 9-12 are expected to attend, giving local employers, businesses and alumni a chance to engage directly with the next generation of professionals.

VOYAGE stands for Vikings Networking with Organizations Yielding an Opportunity for Great Exploration of Careers. The mission of the fair is to provide students with opportunities to network, explore career options and gain insight into the skills and experiences needed to transition from school to the workforce successfully.

Participating businesses and alumni will have the opportunity to discuss job requirements, share industry knowledge and highlight future career and workforce opportunities with students.

Fort Walton Beach High School is seeking employers, business leaders and alumni to participate in the event. Businesses interested in participating can contact Dr. Linda Dugan by email at Linda.Dugan@okaloosaschools.com or by phone at 850-833-3300.
