Free EmpowHER event in Niceville to focus on teen girls’ mental wellness Saturday

United Way's upcoming event will feature speakers, activities centered on building confidence and connection for teenage girls.

A free event aimed at empowering teenage girls through mental wellness activities is set for Saturday, May 10, at Niceville High School.

  • The “EmpowHER” event, presented by Eglin Federal Credit Union, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. The program is designed specifically for teen girls and will focus on building confidence and creating connections.

Participants will hear from several speakers including Crystal Morgan of CMorgan Coaching, Dr. Christine Jean and Meghan Erwin. The event will also feature a high-energy dance session led by Natoya Pitts.

Activities throughout the day include a glitter bar, photo booth and trail mix bar. Lunch will be provided by Hurricane Grill.

The event will take place at Niceville High School, located at 800 E. John Sims Parkway. Registration is required but free, with sign-up available at united-way.org/empowHER.
