On Friday afternoon, Governor Ron DeSantis gave a COVID-19 update. In his briefing, he announced that vacation rentals would be suspended across the state of Florida for two weeks.

He added that those currently on vacation would be allowed to finish their stay, but no other vacation rentals would be allowed for the next two weeks.

The governor cited a major concern with residents in COVID-19 “hot spots” who would then want to come to Florida.

“Now is not the time to do that”, said DeSantis when talking about vacation rentals. “So, we are suspending vacation rentals for the next two weeks.”
