Henderson Beach Resort in Destin will mark its 10th anniversary next month with 10 days of culinary events, wellness offerings, live entertainment and community giving, many of them priced as a nod to the resort’s 2016 opening.

  • The celebration, titled “Ten Years of Excellence, Ten Days of Celebration,” runs Nov. 6-15, according to the resort. Anniversary pricing during the week includes a $2.16 first glass of wine, a $2.16 cocktail class and $20.16 signature events, along with original menu favorites and a limited-edition $10 10th Anniversary Roll.

The resort, which sits next to Henderson State Park, opened in 2016 and the anniversary lineup invites longtime guests, locals and first-time visitors to take part in the milestone.

“A resort anniversary is really a celebration of people: the team members who have cared for this property, the guests who return year after year and the Destin community that has embraced The Henderson from the beginning,” said John Carns, Area General Manager of Henderson Beach Resort.

The celebration opens Friday, Nov. 6, with an invite-only Sunset Toast at The Rooftop Bar. The event will feature champagne overlooking the Gulf, passed hors d’oeuvres, live music and the debut of the resort’s signature anniversary cocktail.

  • Friday, Nov. 13, Cocktail Lab: A Decade in the Making: For $2.16, guests can join Resident Mixologist Kenichi Saito for a class in the Destin Ballroom and learn three signature cocktails and the techniques to make them at home. The class runs from 2-3:30 p.m. and is limited to 30 seats. Reservations are required.
  • Saturday, Nov. 14, Tailgating Henderson Style: Celebrity grill master Jack Arnold will take over The Piazza with steaks carved to order, truck-tailgate stations, big screens showing games and DJ 30A on the deck. The event costs $20.16 per person and runs from 3-7 p.m. by reservation.

The celebration closes Sunday, Nov. 15, with an anniversary brunch in the Crystal Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The brunch will feature live action stations, saxophone music, work by local artists and a parting gift from The Henderson Spa. Tickets are $20.16 per person, and reservations are required.

“We wanted to mark ten years in a way that feels distinctly Henderson: great food, memorable experiences, a little fun and, most importantly, bringing people together,” Carns said. “It’s our toast to an incredible first decade and everything still to come.”
