Okaloosa Deputies investigating gunshots on Beach Drive in Destin, no injuries reported

Deputies find shell casings on Beach Drive after early morning gunfire incident; investigation ongoing as authorities seek public's help.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of multiple gunshots fired on Beach Drive in Destin early Saturday morning, discovering shell casings and a vehicle damaged by bullets.

  • No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred around 4:15 a.m. on May 4, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found evidence of gunfire, including shell casings in the area. A vehicle was struck by multiple bullets during the incident.

Authorities are actively investigating the shooting and have indicated more information will be released as it becomes available.
