The Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation is preparing for its 5th Annual BBQ and Bingo fundraising event, scheduled for Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the HSU Educational Foundation in Fort Walton Beach.

  • The event, which supports local students and teachers, will begin with a social hour at 5:00 p.m., followed by bingo from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Attendees can also participate in a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.

Tickets cost $50 per person and include dinner and two bingo cards. The foundation encourages community members to attend, emphasizing that all proceeds will directly support classroom activities and student scholarships.

All proceeds will directly support classroom activities and student scholarships throughout Okaloosa County. The foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on expanding educational opportunities for all students in the county.

One of the foundation’s primary programs is Take Stock in Children, a scholarship initiative that currently serves 64 academically deserving high school students from low-income families. The program provides two-year college scholarships and one-on-one mentoring to participants.

  • In addition to the scholarship program, funds raised at the BBQ & Bingo event will support mini-grants for local teachers and other initiatives promoting student success.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available at various levels, ranging from $250 to $1,000. For more information, contact Debbie Tate at 850.974.0742 or tated@okaloosaschools.com.
