Spectrum is offering automatic bill credits and free equipment replacement to customers affected by Hurricane Isaias, the company said.
- Once service is restored, appropriate outage credits will be applied automatically, and Spectrum equipment damaged by the storm will not be charged to customers, according to the company’s Saturday storm and service update.
Spectrum projected Saturday that 97% of storm-impacted customer accounts in the Florida Panhandle and Alabama would be back online by the end of that day. The company described the figure as an operational projection, subject to safe access, power availability and conditions on the ground.
Restoration work
Spectrum said it brought in more than triple its usual front-line and engineering staffing to support local teams. Technicians and construction crews from across the country are repairing infrastructure and moving into areas as power and safe access return, according to the company.
Generators are supporting parts of the network where commercial power remains out, Spectrum said.
For customers still waiting
“We know overall progress does not replace an individual restoration estimate,” Spectrum said in the update. “We are working to provide clearer updates as crews gain access.”
The company asked residents to keep clear of downed lines and to avoid cutting or moving cables.
