UniTrust Financial Group holds food drive to benefit Crestview Resource Center

The Crestview office of UniTrust Financial Group is accepting donations through Dec. 19 for a food drive benefiting Crestview Resource Center as part of a nationwide company initiative.

A local insurance office is collecting food donations to help meet the needs of vulnerable residents in the community.

  • UniTrust Financial Group’s Crestview office of independent agents is holding a food drive through Dec. 19 to benefit Crestview Resource Center, a nonprofit organization that provides support to vulnerable Crestview residents through partnerships with other nonprofits, government agencies and individuals.

The food drive is part of UniTrust Cares, a nationwide effort launched Nov. 15 by the insurance company to address growing needs for assistance in local communities.

The initiative leverages the company’s more than 1,000 independent agents to create positive change. Agents across the country have reported volunteering at food pantries and organizing clothing drives for the homeless.

  • Donations will be accepted at the UniTrust Financial Group office located at 757 Ashley Drive in Crestview, Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The most requested items include canned beans and vegetables, rice, powdered milk, macaroni and cheese that does not require the addition of milk or butter, and other shelf-stable items. Donors may also drop off gift cards to assist with the purchase of fresh meat and other perishables, with a suggested amount of $20 to $25.

“One of UniTrust’s core values is humility, which we interpret as serving our communities with as much compassion and care as we do our own families,” said Brandon Hall, vice president sales and marketing at UniTrust Financial Group. “We are proud to see our Crestview team embrace this philosophy and give back to their community.”
