- Tate at Niceville (district)
- Pine Forest at South Walton (district)
- Choctaw at Milton (district), 7:30 p.m. CT
- Crestview at Pace (district), 7:30 p.m. CT
- Freeport at Walton (district)
- Fort Walton Beach at Gulf Breeze (district)
- Brookwood (Georgia) at Rocky Bayou
Predictions
Record: 7-0 last week, 27-14 overall
Pensacola Catholic 49, Destin 7
At this point, the Crusaders look like Final Four contenders and are the better team. Destin plays the first district game in program history, but I think Pensacola Catholic takes control of this one.
Baker 35, North Bay Haven 10
North Bay Haven is coming off its first win of the season, but the Gators are still the better team here and need this win to stay afloat in the Class 1A race.
Niceville 35, Tate 14
This game could have major implications in Class 5A, with the loser’s playoff hopes taking a serious hit. With Niceville having the better roster, I like the Eagles to get the win here.
South Walton 28, Pine Forest 21
This feels like a game that could truly go either way, but I think the tiebreaker is the game being played in the Hawks’ Nest, combined with the Seahawks having the better quarterback in J.D. Brown. South Walton gets the win and continues to bolster its hopes of hosting in the playoffs.
Choctaw 49, Milton 0
Milton was recently shut out by Fort Walton Beach. With that being said, I expect Choctaw to control this one as the Indians continue to find their footing and rattle off their third straight win.
Pace 42, Crestview 10
The Bulldogs are banged up right now, and Pace has Final Four aspirations. Crestview, which is 0-5, will continue its search for its first win after this one.
Walton 42, Freeport 7
Walton put a running clock on the same Arnold team that beat Freeport. This should be an emotional district game, but the Braves are the better team, and their hopes of an undefeated season continue here.
Fort Walton Beach 49, Gulf Breeze 0
Gulf Breeze just lost to North Bay Haven and has had trouble finding consistency outside of a few games this season. The Vikings should waste no time getting back to .500 here.
Brookwood 42, Rocky Bayou 28
At this point, Brookwood is the better team. The Knights could make this competitive, but I believe Rocky Bayou will still be searching for its first win after this week.
