The Crab Trap restaurant invites families to meet a famous holiday character while supporting local children in need through a weekend toy drive event at its Okaloosa Island location.
The Crab Trap on Okaloosa Island

The Crab Trap will host “The Mean & Green One” Holiday Toy Drive on December 6-7, offering complimentary kids’ meals to those who donate new, unwrapped toys.

  • The event, running from noon to 3 p.m. both days, will take place at the restaurant’s 1450 Miracle Strip Parkway SE location on Okaloosa Island at The Boardwalk. Families can bring their children for free photos with The Grinch character.

The event supports the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, which collects new, unwrapped toys during October through December each year. The program distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community where the campaign is conducted.

Organizers are encouraging donations to Toys for Tots, specifying that all toy donations should be new and unwrapped. Each toy donation will be rewarded with a free kids’ meal from the restaurant’s menu.

The three-hour event will run for two consecutive days, providing multiple opportunities for families to participate in the holiday giving program while getting free photos with the character known as the “Mean & Green One.”
