Eglin Air Force Base to conduct unmanned aircraft launches off Santa Rosa Island

The Air Force will launch unmanned aircraft systems off Santa Rosa Island and the Gulf on July 24 and 25.

The Air Force will conduct unmanned aircraft system launches off Santa Rosa Island and the Gulf on July 24 and 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • All vessels must remain clear of the active hazard area during these mission periods, beginning approximately 8 nautical miles southwest of the Destin East Pass.

The Eglin Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center will broadcast advisories and local notice to mariners on Channel 16 and on HF upper sideband 2182 KHZ during the operations.
