Week 4 recap: Walton stays perfect, Niceville and Fort Walton Beach cruise in district play

Niceville, Fort Walton Beach and South Walton all earned bounce-back district wins, Walton showed no signs of slowing down coming off its bye week, and Freeport pulled away in the second half for a big road win.

Niceville-Choctaw volleyball showdown goes the distance, Lady Eagles close it out

In what might be the game of the year so far, Niceville won 3-2 (26-24, 19-25, 25-19, 27-29, 15-9) at Choctaw on Thursday in a five-set battle that had everything — lead changes, momentum swings and clutch plays from both sides.
After Choctaw forced a fifth set by taking Set 4 in extra points, the Lady Indians jumped out to a 4-1 lead. But Niceville clawed back to tie it at six, and after the teams traded points to a 9-9 deadlock, the Lady Eagles reeled off six straight to end it.
Riley Skowronski, Anna Sutter and Carnley Summerlin led the way for Niceville, while Khloe Brockett, Janiya Brown and Callie Cotton anchored a Choctaw team that never backed down.
