Niceville to host ‘Magic for a Mission’ event supporting local Scouting programs

Professional magician Jeff Sobel will headline two performances May 16 at the Niceville Community Center, with proceeds benefiting Scouting America, Gulf Coast Council.

Scouting America, Gulf Coast Council, will host Magic for a Mission, a community event featuring two live performances by professional magician Jeff Sobel, on May 16, 2026, at the Niceville Community Center, 204 Partin Drive.

  • The event will feature two separate shows designed for different audiences, with all proceeds supporting local Scouting programs.

The afternoon performance, An Adventure in Magic, begins at 2:30 p.m. and is described as a family-friendly show featuring interactive magic, comedy and take-home magic lessons for children, families and community groups.

Tickets are $30 for children and $10 for adults.

The evening event, Magic for a Mission, begins with dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the show at 7:17 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a plated dinner with wine and a casual strolling magic social hour before a full stage performance by Sobel.

Tickets are $97, with VIP tickets available for $127.

Organizers say Sobel’s interactive style and illusions are designed to engage audiences of all ages.

Proceeds from the event will support Scouting America, Gulf Coast Council, helping provide local youth with programs focused on leadership, confidence and character development. Organizers are also encouraging community members to join the Friends of Scouting and contribute through donations.
