The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a situation after a teenage girl reported that a man was trying to lure her younger sister into a van at a Racetrack Road convenience store today.

The teen was at the Circle K near Pryor Middle School to pick up her 12 year old sister around 2:30 this afternoon (Wednesday) when she saw a white male standing near an unmarked white utility van appearing to try to coerce her sister into his vehicle.

She says the man had blonde hair and looked to be between thirty and forty years old. The younger girl gave deputies a similar statement and says she ran to her sister’s car in a panic and jumped inside.

The pair contacted their mother to report what happened. She then contacted the OCSO.

We will provide an update if additional pertinent information is developed through the investigation.

“At minimum, reduce property tax for senior citizens. Property taxes normally increase yearly but senior's income doesn't. Every time we get a social security raise, our Medicare premiums go up....”
