Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Kirkpatrick graduated from the 298th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, the agency announced.
- Kirkpatrick spent 10 weeks training alongside law enforcement officers from across the United States and other countries, studying advanced leadership and communication skills. He also completed the Yellow Brick Road physical fitness course, the agency said.
“Graduating from the FBI National Academy’s 298th session is something I’ll carry with me the rest of my career,” Kirkpatrick said. “Spending ten weeks learning alongside officers from across the country and around the world was an experience I never could have imagined, and it has made me a better leader.”
Kirkpatrick credited Sheriff Eric Aden for the opportunity.
“Sheriff Aden and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office are deeply committed to providing the highest quality law enforcement services to our community, and investing in leadership development programs like this is a direct reflection of that commitment,” Kirkpatrick said. “I owe a huge thank you to Sheriff Aden for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to grow and bring that knowledge back home to serve our community.”
Chief Deputy Ken LaPee attended the graduation ceremony to celebrate with Kirkpatrick.
