A contractor for the City of Fort Walton Beach began resurfacing work Monday on multiple streets across the city.
The work, which started Aug. 10, is taking place at five locations:
- Alabama Avenue near the apartment complex at Williams Street
- Baggett Place between Cedar Avenue and Cowrie Avenue
- Linstew Drive
- Kepner Drive from Okaloosa Road to Choctawhatchee Road
- Okaloosa Road from Kepner Drive to Hollywood Boulevard
Each location is expected to require about one to two days of work, though the schedule is weather dependent.
The city is asking residents to remove all vehicles and other obstructions from the right of way and immediate work areas between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. unless otherwise notified.
Residents with questions or concerns can contact Stormwater and Streets Supervisor Ben Pecoraro at 850-833-9613 or bpecoraro@fwb.org.
