Al’s Beach Club & Burger Bar opens for the season with free weekly events on Okaloosa Island

Pirate shows and beachfront movies return to The Boardwalk through August.

Al’s Beach Club & Burger Bar at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island has officially opened for the season, offering beachfront dining, cold drinks and a lineup of free family-friendly entertainment running through the summer.

  • The seasonal opening marks the return of two popular weekly events that have become staples for locals and visitors alike.

Every Monday from now through Aug. 3, families can enjoy the Pirate Show from 5 to 8 p.m. Capt. Davy and Kirby the Crossbones bring a mix of music, magic and interactive fun designed for “mateys of all ages.”

On Tuesdays through Aug. 4, Movies on the Beach returns at 8 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring beach towels and settle in for a featured family-friendly film shown on a giant inflatable screen right on the sand.

Additional summer events are expected to be announced as the season progresses.

  • All events are free and open to the public.

The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island is located at 1450 Miracle Strip Parkway SE in Fort Walton Beach.
